Brand Yourself - Not Your Offer

Internet Marketing is all about branding yourself.  You may offer a plethera of products or services, but what you really offer is yourself.  Don't be fooled into thinking that some MLM company is your business.  Companies come and go as they will.  You will still be here when many of them are not.  The winner is the one who has a brand and gets customers what they need.

I like what Diane Hochman had to say about a shoe store.  When people come into your store they should find it appealing with lots of products that they can browse and try on.  As they try on your pieces, they are essentially selling themselves.  When they find something that fits, they buy it.  No pressure, no pushy salesman breathing down their neck.

This is what attraction marketing is all about.  Let the customer have value and they will keep coming back for more.

Marketing - Just get started!

Yeah, thats right.  The sooner you start the faster the butterflies in your stomach go away and the sooner you see improvement.

I admit it, I was scared out of my mind.  I wasn't sure what to say, how to record it or where to go from there.  Well the folks over at Elite Marketing Pro have been coaching me.  Sure I still need to improve, but I have started and I am getting better.  One step at a time and Elite Marketing Pro will have me performing just like Ray Higdon.

Oh and here is a good tip I got from Ray.  If you don't know how to setup a blog then have someone else do it.  It is not ok to flounder with technology when what you are really after is traffic, conversion and monetization.

Online Marketing - Traffic

Do you want to take control of your future?  Want to get paid what you are worth?  Well then, internet marketing maybe your ticket to success.  

In order to get traffic you need to learn a few beginner strategies. 

The first strategy is to include a link at the bottom of your emails.  Make it a whole sentence and link the whole line to the product or service you are promoting.  Here is an example:

Discover And Solve The 3 Biggest Problems That Are Holding You Back From Earning As Much As You're Worth.

You can also send a personal invite.  This is a targeted email to someone you know and think might be interested.  DO NOT SPAM your list.  Do not include a link in this email.  Just let them know that you found something they may be interested in and if they want to know more, they can reply back to you.  

The third strategy is to let your friends on social media networks (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) know what you are up to.  They want to know.  It is as easy as sharing a little comment about your excitement to find something that improves your health, makes you money, saves you time, or even gets you closer to your dreams.

I remember the old economics question about how to get money.  Do you get it from someone else?  Can you create more of it?  Some people believe that there is a limited amount of resources out there and in order to get more you have to take some from another person.  That is so untrue!

You want more, than go out an create more.  Living in abundance means you are creating your own future and there is no limit to what you can do.  Imagination is the key to this success.

I have been reading a bunch lately.  I thought that after college I would not have to read as much.  Well, I was wrong.  You want to stimulate those creative juices?  Well get a good book that makes you think.  I got an email from Magnetic Sponsoring once that listed some of the books Mike Dillard had read.  Well, it was a HUGE list and it was not even complete.  You see, in order to "sharpen the saw" (per Stephen R. Covey), we need to be learning something new all the time.

Here are a few suggestions on what you could read to get yourself moving.  Psycho-Cybernetics is an excellent book that helps you get on the right track mentally.  Think and Grow Rich is also a must read for anyone looking for success and it all starts with the way we think.  If you haven't read the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, do it now.  My dad took classes from Dr. Covey in college and my mom was just telling me that she would stop in to hear the lectures even though she was not in the class.  Let me ask you, how many people go to classes they are not even registered for?  Most college students aren't interested in "extra" work.

The Beginning

I was really, really nervous about doing my first video.  It is really short, but hey it is a start.  Truthfully, I have so much information in my head and it is worth sharing.  I watched a video from Nick Haubner today that made an excellent point.  He says that not sharing what you know is hoarding and people deserve to know.  Hoarding the information does not make it mine, but keeps it from being useful for others.  No one gets paid for how smart they are unless they are able to apply what they know and teach others too.

Well the first video is my opportunity to start sharing what I know about attraction marketing.  More important than sharing what I know is that now I am able to coach others who are just as scared as I am about stepping in front of the camera.  Ok, maybe not everyone is scared, but they will get a chance to see that this is not only doable, but can be done by an average person with no particular experience.

Start small and do what you know how to do.  Like Dad always said, "Do what you know how to do and let someone else do the rest."  Well, I want to add that that is just the start.  Keep learning as you go.  Start small and keep moving forward from there.  Don't give up or get overwhelmed if internet marketing seems too complicated.  Pick up one thing at a time.
